February 3, 2009

Women of all ages have had a strong affinity for jewelry from times immemorial. From casual to formal, inexpensive to expensive and small to large, most of us own a sizable number of jewelry pieces. Whether it is to keep your room clutter free from all the small pieces of jewelry you have or you want to take good care of your expensive jewels, a jewelry armoire is a must buy.

Jewelry armoires come in all different kinds of colors, finishes and sizes. Depending upon how much space you have in your home, you can either go with a wall mount jewelry armoire or a regular full size armoire. Some of the most popular colors in jewelry armoires are oak, cherry, black and white. Another very popular style is hand painted jewelry armoire, although they are a little more expensive.

Most jewelry armoires have a very traditional construction and give the feel as if you have a very expensive piece of antique furniture. However that is not the case. Majority of the jewelry armoires are priced between $99 and $299 and are also great gift items for young girls.

In terms of utility, these armories are very well thought out. You have the option of small and big drawers which are lined with soft material to prevent scratching. Some jewelry armoires have side doors with latches for necklaces and a small mirror on the top to see yourself as you put the jewelry on. The wall mount jewelry armoires are generally bigger, save space but do not have all the frills that standing armoires have.

In a nutshell jewelry armoires are not only a great piece of accent furniture and can be placed anywhere in the home – bedroom, family room etc. it is also very useful for keeping your belongings safe and your home clutter free.
